A visual workspace for turning big ideas into
coherent units students want to explore.
Chartroom is a visual workspace for designing coherent, student-centered PBL units. Start by adding a few details about your class and students, then use the canvas to map your big ideas, learning targets, final product, scaffolds, and unit arc.
Open the cards in any order. Write a quick sketch, a full plan, or anything in between. Click the ? on any card for guidance on what that part is for and what strong planning might include.
Click the ↗ in the bottom right to open Compass, your thought partner. Use it to get feedback, explore ideas, tighten wording, or push your planning further. When the canvas feels full enough, ask Compass to review the whole unit for strengths, gaps, and connections.
When the canvas feels ready, open Unit Overview to see what you've created. Use the Share button in the top right to copy your unit into Google Docs, Claude, or ChatGPT when you want to keep planning elsewhere. Evidence mapping, daily calendaring, cloud save, and shared units are coming next.
